Tips & Tricks 💡💡💡 - Prompts etc

Remember to experiment with different wordings, and different levels of details in prompts.

Eg:
Version 1: List all the staff on the payroll
Version 2: List all staff on the payroll, include fields surname, date joined, annual salary
Version 3: List all staff and group them by department

I’ve been testing some prompts too — here are a few that worked well for me:

"Show me all part-time staff sorted by start date, and include their line manager."
"Summarise staff leave usage this quarter, and highlight anyone with >10 days used."

I’ve also found that using “summarise” or “highlight” helps steer the tone away from raw lists and into more useful outputs.

I've been using LogicGlue on mobile recently. Something that I think is super handy is the ability to ask my accounting questions out loud instead of typing them.

LogicGlue has built-in speech-to-text. So, if you're between meetings, driving or walking to a client, you can ask things like:
“What were my expenses last month?”
“List unpaid invoices.”

Here's an example where I used speech-to-text on mobile:

This feature is particularly useful for busy business owners, sole traders and accountants who are mobile.

and just to add, for those ChatGPT users familiar with ChatGPT's conversation mode, LogicGlue conversation mode is ON the way :)

We’ve put together a couple of helpful resources to make prompting in LogicGlue easier and more effective!

First, when you open the LogicGlue app and land on the Chat screen, you’ll see a set of suggested prompts. These appear as category icons (Payroll, Reporting, Invoices, etc.).

When you click on a category (eg. Reporting), a menu of suggested prompts will appear above the chat box.
They’re a great way to get started and spark ideas for the kinds of questions you might want to ask.

Second, we have a dedicated Prompts How-To page: https://logicglue.com/prompts/
This guide walks you through how to structure your prompts so you get clearer, more accurate answers every time.

If you're looking to get more out of LogicGlue, both of these resources are a great place to begin!
